The State Tournament for 11-12 All-Stars baseball in Hampden has moved their opening day from today, July 23 to Saturday, July 24 according to tournament director Dewey Martin, President of Hampden-Newburgh Little League.
Martin received an email shortly after midnight of the 23rd from the Little League Eastern Region informing him that no games would be allowed to be played on Friday, and that the start of the State of Maine tournament may not begin any earlier than July 24.
The games scheduled for 2:00 p.m and 4:30 p.m. today (Friday) will be played at the same time on Saturday.
The remainder of the scheduled is being revised and will be distributed later today.
