The Busline League Division 1 small school basketball regular season came to a close Thursday night and now the teams will prepare for the start of next weeks playoffs to decide the league champions.
Thursday was the second match up of the St. George boys and girls against future teammates Thomaston Grammar School in a pair of games played at Thomaston.

Girls Game
St. George 41, Thomaston 30… The St. George girls used a strong third quarter to put the game away at Thomaston after a tough battle the first half that saw the two teams match each other point for point.
The Dragons took a 13-8 first quarter lead, but the Clippers tied the game heading into the half at 21-21. St. George had a 20-point third quarter to take a 41-23 lead into the final stanza.
Scoring for St. George were, Bailee Cox with 20 points; Megan Beal 11; Madison Haskell four; and Megan Wilson, Alexis Davis and Sierra Jameson two each.
For Thomaston Grammar School, Alex Moreash-Kennedy had 15 points; Lyric Deprey nine; and Katie Clark and Jaylnn Hurd three each.
Boys Game
Thomaston 73, St. George 57… Thomaston Grammar School hosted St George for the final regular season Division 1 Busline league game and secured their second consecutive undefeated regular season campaign winning 73-57.

Scoring for the Clippers were, Nick Judge with 18; Eli Macdougal 15; Eli Thorbjornson and Sawyer Pilsbury 10 Each; Jarrod Leonardi nine; Walker Ranney and Justin Robinson four each; Owen Winchenbach two; and Steven Judge with 1.
For St. George, Ben Caron with 15 points; John Ferguson 13; Corey Robinson and Doug Anderson seven each; Ellery Montgomery three; and Jack Crockett with 2.
St George was 13-of-27 from the foul line and TGS was 14-of-34.
TGS has a first round bye in the playoffs, they next play on Feb. 4 at home against a yet to be determined team.
Thomaston Grammar School 36, Bristol 35… On Jan. 27 the Clippers traveled to Bristol and played in the toughest game of the season. the game was won with a buzzer beating lay up by Nick Judge, giving the Clippers their ninth win.
Scoring for TGS were, Judge with 13; Elijah Macdougal 15; Walker Ranney, Steven Judge and Eli Thorbjornson two each; and Jarrod Leonardi and Justin Robinson one each.
The Bristol Blue Devils were led by S. Matel with 15; M. Cummings eight; M Bolster four; L Bickford three; T Cheney and S Genthner two each; and A. Dodge with one.
Bristol was 7-of-23 from the charity stripe and the Clippers were 6-of-20 from the foul line.
Thomaston Grammar School 57, Woolwich 47… The Clippers traveled to Woolwich Jan. 25 and secured their eight win of the 2010 campaign, with a 57-47 victory over the host Wildcats.
Scoring for TGS were, Elijah Macdougal with 13 points; Elias Thorbjornson 10; Jarrod Leonardi and Nick Judge nine each; Sawyer Pilsbury and Josh Poor three each.
For the Wildcats, Jacob Freeman and Zack Holbrook 11 each; Nate Bognazi six; Andy Shade five; Galen Dubois four; Trevor Drovin and Garret Robson two each; and Cameron Malcolm one.
