I always told my players not to talk to the umps, let them talk to you the respect between umps and my players to see the smiles on the kids faces when Eddie or Mike commented on a play was everything to these kids. Coaches/Fans its not easy I know I felt I blew a call sometimes but you try your best. Thats why nobody is willing to volunteer to ump, to afraid to not get it right. These guys are commited they give up alot to do this for our kids, and next time instead of whining about a call, since you have the comfort of the stands, maybe a pat on the back or a Thank You Good Job out there is just as important to them as its is to the kids.
