Glenburn – At the Glenburn School on Tuesday, the Caravel Bobcats pulled off a sweep of the Glenburn Chargers with a 66-50 fourth quarter come from behind win for the boys and a 52-17 pounding for the girls in a “B” Division doubleheader.
In the boys game, Tyler Hawes and Austin Ebersole combined for 45 points to lead the Bobcats to a come from behind win. Caravel trailed at the end of each of the first three quarters, and heading into the final period it appeared Glenburn would pull out a win with a 43-33 lead.

Caravel mounted a fierce comeback, and after a 19-5 run the Bobcats took a 52-48 lead with 3:30 left in the game. Caravel went on over the final three plus minutes to score 14 more points for a total of 33 points in the quarter, an average of 4.7 points per minute in the period.
Hawes scored 25 points and Ebersole had 20 points to lead the Bobcats in scoring. Wyatt Michaud added 11 points and Kyle Wood had six points. Andrew Zapsky and Brady Johnston each chipped in with two points.
Caravel had three 3-point baskets, all by Hawes, and they went 6-for-20 (30%) from the free throw line.
Bryce Hatch scored 13 points and Camden Fahey added 10 points to pace the Chargers in scoring. Allen Nevers scored nine points, Ben Cotton had eight points and Kade McDonald added seven points. Michael Doucette scored two points and Jay Byrom had one point.
Glenburn did not have a three point basket, and they went 4-for-11 (36%) from the charity stripe.

In the girls game, Caravel opened with a 14-4 first quarter and put the game away by the half time break with a 16-2 second quarter for a 30-6 lead at the half.
Aleah Dean scored a game high 16 points to pace the Lady Bobcats in scoring. Kayla Gray and Emilee Soucie each added nine points, Maddison Willey scored eight points, and Madison Pullen had six points. Lauren Linscott and Jenna Bond each added two points. The Bobcats went just 2-for-13 (15%) from the foul line.
Tia Zephir scored 11 points to lead Glenburn. Cheyanne Wilcox, Brooke Springer, and Katie Walker each scored two points. The Chargers shot 1-for-7 (14%) from the free throw line.
