Rams cruise to win over Hampden in Class A softball action

Bangor – Wednesday afternoon at Bangor High School, the Bangor Rams cruised to a 7-1 victory over Hampden Academy in a Class A softball match up. Emily Reilly picked up a complete game win from inside the circle, and Kelsey Pendergast expaned a 3-0 Bangor lead with a two run triple in the fifth inning. Hampden – Monday night in Hampden, Katie Windsor and Liv Nash combined on a one hitter from inside the circle and Breanne Oakes and Laura Zenk homered as the Hermon Allenfarm Fence cruised past Hampden’s Rawcliffe’s 21-2 in a little league majors softball game at the Ball Field Road complex. With the win, Allenfarm Fence improves to 5-0 while Rawcliffe’s falls to 2-4. Windsor and Nash worked two innings each in the four inning Mercy Rule game. Anglers win the battle of the undefeated in Bronco Little League

Hampden – Saturday morning at the VFW ball park, two teams who won championships in 2012 took to the diamond without a loss in the early goings of the 2013 Bronco Little League season. Anglers, who won the 2012 Hampden Little League championship, and Dysarts, winners of the 2012 Majors Championship, both entered the game without a loss until Anglers toppled Dysarts 5-3 to remain undefeated. After an early lead by Dysart, Nick Lorenzo ripped a bases loaded triple and scored on the same play on a throwing error to give Anglers the lead they never relinquished. Click Here...

Collins leads Patriots to 1-0 win over Searsport

Bangor – The defending champion Class D state champions from Bangor Christian kept their 2013 winning streak alive on Monday with a 1-0 victory over Class C opponent Searsport behind the arm of Cody Collins, who hurled a complete game three hit shutout. Collins worked all seven innings scattering three hits while walking three and striking out 14. Collins was perfect through the first three innings retiring the first nine batters in order, including four consecutive strikeouts and si through three innings. Hampden Dysarts routs Kiwanis in Bronco Little League action

Hampden – On a beautiful Saturday morning in Hampden, the Hampden Dysarts cruised to victory over Kiwanis behind the bat of Sam Economy who had five hits in the game going 5-5 with two doubles a triple and two singles. Bronco Little League hosts opening day

Hampden – Saturday afternoon at the VFW ball fields in Hampden, the Bronco Little League held their opening day ceremonies followed by a full day of round robin games as they prepare to kick off the regular season on Monday, April 29. During the opening ceremonies, many teams from the 2012 season were recognized for their accomplishments including the Senior League District 3 Champions and the 9-10 year old District 3 Championship team.
