Forrest Auto picks up Memorial Day win

Winterport – It took six lead changes at the Winterport Little League field before Forrest Auto Body could pick up a 5-4 victory over R.D. Steel during a Memorial Day celebration game between the two community Majors level teams. The win for Forrest Auto Body was their first of the season, while Steel suffered their first loss of the season. Troy Spencer led Forrest with two hits and three runs batted in, including a 2-run double in the third inning and an RBI double in the fifth inning. Moore and Knott lead R.D. Steel to come from behind win

Hermon – Kolby Moore did it with the bat and Tom Knott did it from the hill as R.D. Steel of Winterport came back from a 3-0 deficit to pick up a win over Hermon Dysart’s 6-5 on Saturday morning at the Hermon Little League field. With the win, the boys from Winterport remain undefeated at 3-0-1 (a 7-7 tie against Anglers was called because of darkness). Hermon Dysarts falls to 2-3 on the season. Tigers roar past Orono with seventh inning barrage

Orono – Friday afternoon at Orono High School, the Sumner Tigers took a slim 5-4 lead into the top of the seventh inning and put the game away sending 11 batters to the plate with a 7-run outburst to come away with a 12-4 win over the Red Riots. The game was scoreless through the first three innings. Sumner took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on a Brittney Dyer 2-run single. and Orono got one run back in the bottom half of the inning. Winterport crushes Orono in middle school baseball

Orono – At Orono High School, the Wagner Middle School of Winterport cruised to a five inning 13-3 Mercy Rule win over Orono Middle School on Thursday afternoon. Wagner scattered 13 hits in the game, including a triple, double, and two runs batted in from Kergan Perkins. Wyatt Harriman pitched a complete game for Wagner, and he allowed just three hits while walking three and striking out anb impressive 13 Orono batters. Hermon majors baseball invades Hampden

Hampden – Saturday at the VFW Field in Hampden, Hermon came to town and in the first two games both Hermon teams went home with a victory in majors baseball action. Harley-Davidson came on late and took home a win over W.S. Emerson in the early morning game, but the real story was in game two. Hermon Dysart’s routed Bronco Little League’s Anglers 10-2 behind the outstanding work from pitcher Gabe Sherman, who allowed just one hit in the game. Hampden Dysarts rallies for win over Forrest Auto Body

Hampden – Thursday night at the VFW Field in Hampden, the Hampden Dysarts majors baseball team broke a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning and rallied for four runs to pull out a 10-6 win over Forrest Auto Body of Winterport.
