Patriots Knock Off Ravens 23-20, Next Stop Super Bowl XLVI

January 23, 2012

Tom Brady’s performance wasn’t spectacular. For the day Brady went 22 of 36 for 236 yards, with two interceptions, and no touchdowns. But Brady made the big plays when called upon in clutch situations. The Patriots defense held NFL rushing King, Ray Lewis to just 78 yards on the ground. Give credit to the Patriots offensive line, for holding the sack happy Ravens to just one sack. On the Patriots second drive, Brady drove the Patriots right down the field to the Ravens 11 yard line. The drive stalled at that point as Gostkowski kicked a short field goal,...

Mid way through the first period, the Knights went on a 9-2 run to cut the...

Bangor – The one key factor for the Hermon girls basketball team in it’s match up with John Bapst on Saturday night was to be able to contain Emily Tilton and limit her scoring opportunities. After a quiet first half with the Crusaders holding a 16-15 lead at half time, things heated up in the third quarter. Tilton scored nine points in the third period...

Five Keys To Victory For The Patriots

January 18, 2012

1. Stop Ray Rice. If the Patriots improving defense can hold Ray Rice to under 60 yards rushing, that would be huge. Make Joe Flacco and the Ravens inconsistent passing game win the game. 2. Protect Tom Brady. Last year in the 23-20 victory over the Ravens, Brady was sacked three times, and had to much pressure up the middle. The offensive line must do a better job protecting Brady, and the running backs must know their assignments in blitz pickups. 3. Take care of the football. Last week Steven Ridley’s fumble in the third quarter wasn’t crucial. The...
