Glenburn – At the Glenburn School on Tuesday, the Chargers boys basketball team let a 10 point lead slip away but managed to hang on to squeak out a slim 51-47 win over the Orrington Center Drive Eagles to complete the Glenburn Middle School sweep. After taking a 30-22 half time lead, the Chargers stretched out their lead to 10 plus points in the third quarter but a 14-point effort by the Eagles Damian Vance in the quarter helped Orrington out score Glenburn 16-13 and pull to within five points at the buzzer. Glenburn girls cruise to win over Center Drive School

Glenburn – The Glenburn Middle School girls basketball team dominated the Orrington Center Drive team for four quarters on their way to a 60-14 victory in their season home opener on Tuesday. Jaeda Rogers, Olivia Sharrow, and Tianna Cyr each scored in double digits for the Chargers, who jumped out to a 10-0 lead midway through the first quarter and held a 23-2 lead at the buzzer. Orono – Tuesday night at Orono High School, Hannah Clement scored 20 points to lead the Lady Riots to a commanding 60-22 win over Penquis Valley High School of Milo in a class c girls match up. Clement scored 14 of her game high 20 points in the first quarter to lead the Red Riots to a 20-8 score at the buzzer. Patriots dominate Dolphins 41-13, earn AFC titile

The New England Patriots came into Gillette stadium with fire in their eyes. The entire team played hard, and really earned the 41-13 victory over the Dolphins. Left tackle Nate Solder played his best game, against Dolphins all-pro defensive end, Cameron Wake. Solder held Wake to no sacks and just two hurries on Tom Brady. ORONO- The Orono Red Riots jumped out to an early lead behind Keenan Collett and rolled to a 43-26 victory over Dexter on Saturday afternoon. Collett scored the first six points for the Red Riots as they jumped out to an 8-3 lead after the first quarter. ORONO- Peyton Watson scored 15 points in the first half to lead the Dexter Tigers girls basketball team to a 47-40 victory over Orono on Saturday evening. With point guard Tasha Pratt and center Megan Peach in foul trouble, Watson put the team on her back in the first half. She scored nine points in the second quarter, including a three pointer late in the half that sent the Tigers to the halftime break with a 26-16 lead.
