Brewer-Orrington eliminates Hermon from 9/10 baseball all-stars tourney

Hampden – On Monday, the Brewer-Orrington 9/10 all-stars battled back from a 10-3 deficit and came up just short in a 10-8 loss. On Tuesday the bats stayed hot as they opened with a 5-run inning and went on to a 17-7 win over Hermon to even their record at 1-1. With the loss, Hermon is eliminated from the tournament with an 0-2 record. Brewer-Orrington will play their next game on Thursday, July 2 at 5:30 against the winner of the Sebasticook and Glenburn game on Tuesday afternoon. Click Here to view the Photo Gallery from the game

Hermon pitching leads Hawks to 11/12 tourney victory

Hermon – Ryan Mailloux and Garrett Eldridge dominated from the top of the hill to lead the Hermon 11/12 All-Stars to a 13-2 Mercy Rule win over Millinocket in a District 3 tournament opener. After starter Eli Reed ran into trouble in the first inning, Mailloux and Eldridge were called upon to finish up the game and delivered brilliantly. The two pitchers combined for just two hits allowed with no walks and no runs allowed. 9/10 District 3 All-Stars baseball tourney gets underway

Hampden – Saturday morning in Hampden at the VFW Little League baseball complex, the District 3 All-Stars tournament for 9 and 10 year olds got underway hosted by Bronco Little League. The 10 team tournament is scheduled, weather permitting, to run through July 10. In the two opening games of the tournament, Bronco Little League sent Holbrook Little League to the losers bracket with a 10-5 victory, and game two went just five innings as Bangor West picked up a 10-0 Mercy Rule win over Glenburn-Orono-Veazie. Bangor East defeated Hermon Little League 16-5 in the late game on Saturday....

RH Foster wins Bronco-Hermon Little League Interleague Championship

Hermon – RD Steel of Winterport won the Bronco Little League championship, while RH Foster laid claim to the Hermon Little League regular season championship. On Thursday night, Foster made it very clear with their bats who was the top team on this night as they cruised to a 20-7 Mercy Rule win over Steel in the Bronco-Hermon Little League Interleague championship. Kolby Moore sparks RD Steel to Bronco Little League Championship

Hampden – In 2014 Winterport Little League joined Hampden-Newburgh Little League and they became what is now Bronco Little League. In that initial season, the Winterport team Forrest Auto Body went on to win the Bronco Little League championship. On Saturday afternoon, the new tradition continued as R.D. Steel came from behind midway through the game and went on to cruise the rest of the way to an 11-3 win to claim the 2015 Bronco Little League Championship behind the bat and arm of Kolby Moore.
